I didn't know how well asparagus goes with leek until today when i married them with this very simple and quick recipe [if you have mochi ready].
- Mochi [sautéed]
- Asparagus [cut in 1 inch size]
- Leek [cut lengthwise and in squares]
- Soy sauce
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Stir fry asparagus and leek for one minute or two, add soy sauce and let evaporate for less than a minute. Use this short time only if you cook for one. For bigger quantities the time is obviously more.
- Place the vegetables on top of sautéed mochi and garnish with gomasio.
I have to say that making mochi at home opened a window into a panorama of new possibilities. If you have no mochi at home try it on boiled rice.
