Asparagus and Leek with Mochi

I didn't know how well asparagus goes with leek until today when i married them with this very simple and quick recipe [if you have mochi ready].

  • Mochi [sautéed]
  • Asparagus [cut in 1 inch size]
  • Leek [cut lengthwise and in squares]
  • Soy sauce
  • Gomasio
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  1. Stir fry asparagus and leek for one minute or two, add soy sauce and let evaporate for less than a minute. Use this short time only if you cook for one. For bigger quantities the time is obviously more.
  2. Place the vegetables on top of sautéed mochi and garnish with gomasio.

I have to say that making mochi at home opened a window into a panorama of new possibilities. If you have no mochi at home try it on boiled rice.
